I mean, the bright white pitch to me makes it like he has such a fear that even the page is eager to escape him, tearing off. Or, if I look at it, it could be like a photograph taken while reviewing the house and the tear was because it was weathered from the age. Then, as the child looks down on it in confusion, they look up to ask about it when the nails have effectively forever silenced them.
I can't stress how amazing this is. Thank you, so, so much.
