I messed up so badly on Zim's skin and Rae's everything. The only thing I like at all about this picture is Rae's hair and Rom's outfit...
I figured this is a pretty depressing family portrait, hopefully a happier one appears sometime soon.
Everyone's so sad because prettyy mucchhh, I figured Rae would realize he left his own timeframe to be in this alternate universe with Zim, I mean he left his own friends and family 
Sure it was by accident, but I dunno it's like sad and stuff right? If you've seen John Carter, it's about a guy who pretty much accidentaly winds up in this alternate dimension, and even though his first mission is to find a way back home, after his entire journey he falls in love and chooses to have a family and stay... I won't spoil the rest, but I sort of thought of Rae... 
He didn't choose to be there, but of course I guess makes the choice of staying and what not. 
Zim's been ditched and almost killed by his own race, and of course no human after the invasion would want to deal with him or his kind either, so he's trapped in his basement inventing. I figured after he's given birth to Romm, he'd only be roaming the house if Rae is around or if he has to, like to make food and this and that... but besides that he'd be hidden in his basement making things and probably selling random gizmo's on ebay. 
He's detached a bit from his family, and even if he's close to Rae, I think he'd still have a problem with trying to get closer to their son~
And then there's Rommel, who's closer to his Dad because Zim isn't entirely sure how to express himself all too well. Rom is sort of like his Dad, cool, collective, pretty stern, but of course he inherited Zim's outbursts, so he sometimes winds up being violent for no reason... I'd like to think that since both of his parents were sort of military-ish, that Rom was raised that way as well, that, and his parents are blunt and to the point about things, so he is too. And then theres the whole 'Rae and Zim don't get jokes too well', so Rom can't take a joke either. :I
I guess rather than a family portrait, I made more of a "thinking" picture where everyone's wondering what to do with their lives now that things have changed.
